Chapter on Times of Prayer and Sign of Each of Its Times

That which was narrated by Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub, from Muhammad ibn Abi al-Suhban, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Hammad, from Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Hamid, from Abu Usamah Zayd al-Shahham, who said: A man said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام: “Shall I delay Maghrib until the stars become visible?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Khattabiyyah? Verily, Jibra’il عليه السلام, peace be upon him, descended upon Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, at the time when the disk (of the sun) had set.”
