وَ رَوَى اَلْعَلاَءُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:« لاَ يَدَعُ اَلرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَقُولَ عِنْدَ مَنَامِهِ أُعِيذُ نَفْسِي وَ ذُرِّيَّتِي وَ أَهْلَ بَيْتِي وَ مَالِي بِكَلِمَاتِ اَللَّهِ اَلتَّامَّاتِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَ هَامَّةٍ وَ مِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ فَذَلِكَ اَلَّذِي عَوَّذَ بِهِ جَبْرَئِيلُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ اَلْحُسَيْنَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ»
Al-‘Ala’ narrated from Muhammad ibn Muslim from one of the two (Imams) (peace be upon them), who said:
(Imams عليه السلام said) “A man should not neglect to say at the time of sleep: ‘I seek protection for myself, my children, my family, and my wealth with the perfect words of Allah سبحانه وتعالى from every devil and harmful creature, and from every envious evil eye.’ This is what Jibra’il عليه السلام, peace be upon him, used to use to seek protection for (Imam) al-Husayn عليه السلام, peace be upon him.”
