فَأَمَّا مَا رَوَاهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ اَلْبَرْقِيِّ عَنِ اَلْمَرْزُبَانِ بْنِ عِمْرَانَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ أَقُومُ وَ قَدْ طَلَعَ اَلْفَجْرُ فَإِنْ أَنَا بَدَأْتُ بِالْفَجْرِ صَلَّيْتُهَا فِي أَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا وَ إِنْ بَدَأْتُ فِي صَلاَةِ اَللَّيْلِ وَ اَلْوَتْرِ صَلَّيْتُ اَلْفَجْرَ فِي وَقْتِ هَؤُلاَءِ فَقَالَ« اِبْدَأْ بِصَلاَةِ اَللَّيْلِ وَ اَلْوَتْرِ وَ لاَ تَجْعَلْ ذَلِكَ عَادَةً»
As for what was narrated by Sa‘d ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from al-Barqi, from al-Marzuban ibn ‘Imran, from ‘Umar ibn Yazid. He said:
I said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام: “I rise and the dawn has already appeared. If I begin with the Fajr prayer, I perform it at its earliest time; but if I begin with the night prayer and the witr, I end up praying Fajr at the time these people do (later).” So Imam عليه السلام said: “Begin with the night prayer and the witr, but do not make that a habit.”
