Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Explanation of the Fifty-One Rak‘ahs; The Order, Recitation, Tasbih in Bowing and Prostration, Qunut, and What is Obligatory and Recommended Therein

Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar, from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid, from ‘Amr ibn Uthman and Muhammad ibn ‘Umar ibn Yazid, from Muhammad ibn ‘Udhafir, from ‘Umar ibn Yazid, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام. He said: I asked Him عليه السلام about the night prayer and the witr after the rising of dawn. Imam عليه السلام said: “Pray it after Fajr, so long as it is still within the time when you can pray the morning prayer at its latest time. But do not make that your habit every night.” And Imam عليه السلام said: “Also perform the witr after you finish it.”
