مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ اِبْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ:« اِقْضِ مَا فَاتَكَ مِنْ صَلاَةِ اَلنَّهَارِ بِالنَّهَارِ وَ مَا فَاتَكَ مِنْ صَلاَةِ اَللَّيْلِ بِاللَّيْلِ» قُلْتُ أَقْضِي وَتْرَيْنِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ فَقَالَ« نَعَمْ اِقْضِ وَتْراً أَبَداً»
Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub, by Ali ibn Ibrahim, by his father, from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr, from Mu’awiyah ibn ‘Ammar:
Abu Abdillah عليه السلام said: "Make up what you have missed of the day prayer during the day, and what you have missed of the night prayer during the night." I said: “Should I make up two ‘witr’ prayers in one night?” Imam عليه السلام said: "Yes, always make up ‘witr’."
