Al-Husayn ibn Said from Safwan ibn Yahya and Fadalah ibn Ayyub from al-Ala ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim from one of the two Imams عليه السلام, peace be upon them:
Imam عليه السلام was asked concerning a man who returns from a journey and the time of prayer enters upon him. Imam عليه السلام said: “If he does not fear that the time will end, then let him enter and perform it in full. But if he fears that the time will expire before he enters, then let him pray and shorten (the prayer).”
