Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yahya from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Hamid from Abu Jamilah from Abu Usamah from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said concerning a man who enters a state of janabah (major ritual impurity) and has no water, and he is the imam (of prayer) of the people. Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes, he performs tayammum and leads them in prayer.”
