Muhammad ibn Ya'qub from Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa'id from his brother al-Hasan from Zur'ah from Sama'ah, who said: I asked Imam عليه السلام about a man over whom a funeral (procession) passes while he is not in a state of purity. Imam عليه السلام said: “He should strike his hands on a clay wall and perform ‘tayammum’ (dry ablution).”
