As for what was narrated by Sa’ad ibn Abdillah from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Isma’il ibn Buzay from Zarif ibn Nasih from Tha‘labah ibn Maymun from Abdullah ibn Yazid, he said: I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about the leper and the one with vitiligo, if they can lead the Muslims in prayer? Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes.” I asked: “Does Allah سبحانه وتعالى test the believer with them?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes and upon whom else does Allah سبحانه وتعالى decree affliction other than the believer?”
