Chapter on the Rulings of Congregational Prayer (the Minimum Number for Congregational Prayer, the Description of the Imam, Who Is to Be Followed and Who Is Not to Be Followed, Recitation Behind Both of Them, the Rulings of Those Led in Prayer, and Other Such Rulings Related to It)
And from him, from Uthman ibn Isa, from Abdillah ibn Muskan, from Abdillah ibn Abi Yafur, who said:
Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, was asked about a man who led a group in prayer while he was without ablution. Imam عليه السلام said: “It is not obligatory on them to repeat prayer, but he himself repeats it.”
