Muhammad ibn Yaqub narrated from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from some of our companions, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام was asked regarding a group who had departed from Khurasan or from some of the mountainous regions, and a man was leading them in prayer. When they reached Kufah, they came to know that he was a Jew. Imam عليه السلام said: “They do not have to repeat (their prayers).”
