Ali ibn Hatim, from Muhammad ibn Abi Abdillah, from Sa’ad ibn Abdillah, from al-Hasan ibn Ali, from al-Husayn ibn Sayf, from Muhammad ibn Sulayman, from Ibrahim ibn al-Fadl, from Aban ibn Taghlib, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, I ask You عز وجل by Your Name that is inscribed in the pavilion of Glory, And I ask You عز وجل by Your Name that is inscribed in the pavilion of Splendor, And I ask You عز وجل by Your Name that is inscribed in the pavilion of Magnificence, And I ask You عز وجل by Your Name that is inscribed in the pavilion of Majesty, And I ask You عز وجل by Your Name that is inscribed in the pavilion of Might, And I ask You عز وجل by Your Name that is inscribed in the pavilion of Power, And I ask You عز وجل by Your Name that is inscribed in the pavilion of the Hidden Secrets, The Preceding, the Transcendent, the Beautiful, the Radiant Lord عز وجل of the eight angels who bear the Throne. And Lord عز وجل of the Great Throne, and by the Eye that does not sleep, And by the Greatest, the Greatest Name, And by the Most Supreme, Most Supreme Name, that encompasses the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, And by the Name through which the heavens and the earth were illuminated, And by the Name through which the sun shone and the moon gave its light, And by the Name through which the seas were filled and the mountains were erected, And by the Name through which the Throne and the Footstool were established. And by Your honored, sanctified, concealed, and treasured Names in the knowledge of the unseen with You عز وجل, I ask You عز وجل by all of that, to send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم” And then supplicate with whatever you desire. When you have completed your supplication, then prostrate and say: “My lowly face has prostrated to the Noble Face of my Lord عز وجل. My insignificant face has prostrated to the Mighty, Noble Face of my Lord عز وجل. O’ Generous One, O’ Generous One, O’ Generous One, By Your generosity and bounty, forgive me my wrong, my crime, and my excess upon myself.”
