Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub from Ali ibn Ibrahim from his father from Hammad ibn Isa from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim, who said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about the saying of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Mighty and Majestic: “And remember Allah سبحانه وتعالى during the appointed days” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:203). Imam عليه السلام said: “The Takbir (proclamation of 'Allahu Akbar') is during the Days of Tashriq, from the Dhuhr prayer on the Day of Sacrifice until the Fajr prayer on the third day. And in the cities, it is for ten prayers. So when one departs (from Mina) after the first (departure), the people of the cities stop. And whoever remains in Mina and performs the Dhuhr and Asr prayers there, then let him proclaim the Takbir.”
