Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 1
Al-Husayn, from Fadalah, from Musa ibn Bakr, from Zurarah, from Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
Imam al-Baqir عليه السلام said: “The prayer of the traveller is when the sun passes the zenith (zawal), because there is no prayer before it during travel. And if he wishes, he may delay it until the time of noon (Dhuhr) in a state of residence, except that the best of that, is to perform it at the beginning of its time, when the sun passes the zenith (zawal).”
