Chapter on the Prayer During Travel
Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 1
And with this chain of narration, he said:
I heard Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, say: “If you are a traveller, it does not matter if you delay the noon (Dhuhr) prayer until the time of the afternoon (Asr) enters, so you pray the noon and then you pray the afternoon (Asr). And likewise the sunset (Maghrib) and the final night prayer (Isha al-akhira); you can delay the sunset prayer (Maghrib) until you perform it at the end of its time, along with two units (rak‘ahs) after it, then you perform the night prayer (Isha).”
