Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 1
As for what was narrated by Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Safwan from Abdillah, who said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about a man who goes hunting. Imam عليه السلام said: “If he moves about within his vicinity, then he should not shorten (the prayer); but if he goes beyond the distance (that defines the time limit), then let him shorten (the prayer).”
