Chapter on the Prayer During Travel

From him, from Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Barqi, from Ja’far ibn Bashir, from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “There is no harm if a man prays the night prayer (salat al-layl) during travel while he is walking, and there is no harm if he misses the night prayer and that he makes it up during the day while walking. He faces the qiblah, then walks and recites; and when he wants to bow (ruku‘), he turns his face toward the qiblah and performs ruku‘ and sujud, then walks again.”
