Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 1
From him, from Ali ibn al-Hakam, from Aban ibn Uthman, from Ibrahim al-Karkhi, from Abu Abdillah
I said to Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام: “I am able to face the qiblah in the litter (al-mahmil).” Imam عليه السلام said: “What is this constriction? (meaning to rebuke this ‘over-strict’ interpretation) Do you not have in the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, an example?”
