Chapter on the Prayer over the Dead

Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Hammad ibn Uthman, from Ubaydullah al-Halabi, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “There is no harm in performing the funeral prayer when the sun sets and when it rises; it is merely a seeking of forgiveness.”
