Chapter on the Prayer over the Dead

فَأَمَّا مَا رَوَاهُ اَلْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ اَلْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَلرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:« تُكْرَهُ اَلصَّلاَةُ عَلَى اَلْجَنَائِزِ حِينَ تَصْفَرُّ اَلشَّمْسُ وَ حِينَ تَطْلُعُ»
As for what was narrated by al-Husayn ibn Sa'id from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Aban from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Abdillah from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “It is disliked to perform the funeral prayer when the sun turns yellow and when it rises.”
