Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Abbas ibn Ma'ruf from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Abu al-Jarrah Talhah ibn Zayd from al-Fadl ibn Uthman al-A‘war from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام was asked regarding a man who is killed and his head is found in one tribe (away from the body). Imam عليه السلام said: “His blood money (diyah) is upon the tribe in which his chest and his hands are found, and the funeral prayer is performed over him.” (meaning the place where the chest is found)
