Chapter on the Prayer over the Dead

From him, from Harun ibn Muslim from Mas'adah ibn Sadaqah from Imam Ja’far عليه السلام from his forefathers عليه السلام, peace be upon them: Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “Indeed, Imam Ali عليه السلام, peace be upon him, did not wash Ammar ibn Yasir nor Hashim ibn Utbah, who was al-Mirqal. He عليه السلام buried them in their clothes with their blood,” And did not perform the funeral prayer over them.”
