Muhammad ibn Ismail from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Hammad ibn Isa from Rubi‘i from Muhammad ibn Muslim who said: I said to Imam عليه السلام: “(May) a man moves backward while in prayer?” Imam عليه السلام said: “No.” (meaning it is not allowed) I asked: “Then may he move forward?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes, walking toward the qiblah.”
