Chapter on the Virtue of Mosques and Prayer Within Them, and the Virtue of Congregational Prayer and Its Rulings
From him, from Ayyub ibn Nuh, from al-Abbas ibn Amir, from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar and Dawud ibn al-Husayn, who said:
Imam عليه السلام was asked about a man who missed one rak‘ah of Maghrib with the imam (of prayer) and caught the remaining two rak’ahs. Are those two (rak’ahs) considered his first, while they are the second and third for the group? And does he recite tashahhud in them? Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes”. I asked: “And the second one also?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes”. I asked: “All of them?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes, for it is a blessing.”
