عَنْهُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنِ اَلنَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ اَلسَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ:« لاَ تَكُونَنَّ فِي اَلْعَيْكَلِ» قُلْتُ وَ مَا اَلْعَيْكَلُ قَالَ« أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ خَلْفَ اَلصُّفُوفِ وَحْدَكَ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُمْكِنِ اَلدُّخُولُ فِي اَلصَّفِّ قَامَ حِذَاءَ اَلْإِمَامِ أَجْزَأَهُ فَإِنْ هُوَ عَانَدَ اَلصَّفَّ فَسَدَ عَلَيْهِ صَلاَتُهُ»
From him, from Ibrahim ibn Hashim, from al-Nawfali, from al-Sakuni, from Imam Ja’far عليه السلام, from his father عليه السلام, peace be upon them both, who said:
Imam al-Baqir عليه السلام said: “Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام, peace be upon him, narrated from the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, blessings on him and his family, that He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said: ‘Do not be in ‘al-'Aykal’.’” I asked: “And what is ‘al-'Aykal’?” Imam عليه السلام said: “That you pray alone behind the rows. If it is not possible to join the row, and he stands parallel to the imam (of prayer), it suffices him. But if he opposes the row intentionally, his prayer is invalidated.”
