Chapter on the Virtue of Mosques and Prayer Within Them, and the Virtue of Congregational Prayer and Its Rulings
From him, from Muhammad ibn Hassan, from Abu Muhammad al-Nawfali, from al-Sakuni, from Imam Ja’far عليه السلام, from his father عليه السلام:
Imam Ali عليه السلام, said: “A prayer in ‘Bayt al-Maqdis’ is equal to one thousand prayers, And a prayer in ‘Grand Mosque’ (al-Masjid al-A'zam) is equal to one hundred prayers, And a prayer in ‘Mosque of the Tribe’ (Masjid al-qabila) is equal to twenty-five prayers, And a prayer in the ‘Market Mosque’ (masjid al-suq) is equal to twelve prayers, And the prayer of a man alone in his house is one single prayer.”
