Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hasan ibn Mahbub from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajjaj from Ja’far ibn Ibrahim from Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn, peace be upon them both, who said:
The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, peace be upon him and his family, said: “Whoever you hear reciting poetry in the mosques, say to him: ‘May Allah سبحانه وتعالى break your mouth! Verily, the mosques were only established for the Qur’an.’”
