Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr from Aban ibn Uthman from Abu al-Jarud who said:
I asked Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about a mosque that is within a house, and the people of the house want to expand into part of it, or move it to another place. Imam عليه السلام said: “There is no harm in that.” He (Abu al-Jarud) said: “And I asked Imam عليه السلام about a place that was previously a refuse area, then it is cleaned and made into a mosque.” Imam عليه السلام said: “Let earth be thrown over it until it covers it, for that is purer.”
