Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub from al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn al-Nu‘man from Muhammad ibn Hassan from Ishaq ibn Yashkur al-Kahili from al-Hakam from Anas who said:
The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, peace be upon him and his family, said: “Whoever lights a lamp in a mosque from among the mosques of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the angels and the bearers of ‘the Throne’ will continue to seek forgiveness for him as long as there is light from that lamp in the mosque.”
