Chapter on the Virtue of Mosques and Prayer Within Them, and the Virtue of Congregational Prayer and Its Rulings

Muhammad ibn Yahya from al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abdillah from Sulayman ibn Hisham from Salim from Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: Imam al-Baqir عليه السلام said: “Four mosques in Kufah were renovated out of joy for the killing of Imam al-Husayn عليه السلام, peace be upon him; the ‘Mosque of al-Ash'ath’, the ‘Mosque of Jarir’, the ‘Mosque of Simak’, and the ‘Mosque of Shabath ibn Rib'i’. May Allah سبحانه وتعالى curse them.” (meaning may Allah سبحانه وتعالى curse those involved in the killing of Imam al-Husayn عليه السلام, those who renovated these ‘mosques’ out of joy for killing Imam al-Husayn عليه السلام)
