Chapter on the Prayer in the Ship
Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 6
As for what was narrated by Sahl ibn Ziyad from Abu Hashim al-Ja’fari, who said:
I was with Abu al-Hasan عليه السلام, peace be upon him, on a ship in the ‘Tigris River’, and the time for prayer arrived. So I asked: “May I be your ransom, shall we pray in congregation?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Do not pray in congregation in the bottom of a valley.”
