Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Faddal, from Ibrahim ibn Hashim, from Hammad, from Hariz, from Zurarah, who said:
I (narrator) said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “Is there anything due on millet (al-dhurrah)?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Millet (al-dhurrah), lentils, barley-like grain (al-sult), and grains, in them is the like of what is in wheat and barley. And everything that is measured by the sa’ and reaches the awsaq in which zakat becomes obligatory, then zakat is due upon it.”
