Chapter on Zakat of the Wealth of Children and the Insane
Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Faddal, from al-Abbas ibn Amir, from Aban ibn Uthman, from Mansur al-Sayqal:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, about ‘the wealth of the orphan being worked with.’ Imam عليه السلام said: “If you have wealth and you guarantee it, then the profit is yours, and you are liable for the wealth. But if you have no wealth and you work with it, then the profit belongs to the boy, and you are liable for the wealth.”
