Chapter on Zakat of the Wealth of Children and the Insane
Muhammad ibn Yaqub, from Muhammad ibn Ismail, from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajjaj, who said:
I (narrator) said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “A woman from among our people is mentally confused (mukhtalitah), ‘Is there zakat upon her?’” Imam عليه السلام said: “If it has been traded with, then zakat is upon her, and if it has not been traded with, then no.”
