Chapter on Ruling of the Traveller and the Sick Person Regarding Fasting

As for what Sa’ad ibn Abdullah narrated from Abu Jafar, from his father, from Abdullah ibn al-Mughirah, from Ishaq ibn Ammar, from Abu Ibrahim عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: I (narrator) asked Imam عليه السلام about ‘the hire-carriers (al-mukarin) who hire out riding animals’, And I (narrator) asked: “They go back and forth every few days; whenever something comes to them, they go back and forth.” Imam عليه السلام said: “Upon them is shortening whenever they travel.”
