Chapter on Ruling of the Traveller and the Sick Person Regarding Fasting
As for what Sa’ad ibn Abdullah narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr, from al-Hasan ibn Musa, from Zurarah, who said:
I (narrator) asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about ‘a man who goes out on a journey that he intends, then the time enters upon him while he has gone out from the village by two farsakhs, so they prayed and departed, then some of them turned back for a need, and going out was not decreed for him. What should he do regarding the prayer that he had prayed as two rakahs?’ Imam عليه السلام said: “His prayer is complete, and he does not repeat it.”
