Chapter on Ruling of the Traveller and the Sick Person Regarding Fasting
Al-Husayn ibn Said narrated from Hammad, from Yaqub ibn Shuayb, from Abu Basir, who said:
Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: “When a man resolves to stay for ten (days), then he must complete the prayer. But if he is in doubt, not knowing how long he will stay, and he says, ‘Today or tomorrow,’ then let him shorten between that and a month. Then if he stays in that town for more than a month, let him complete the prayer.”
