Chapter on Ruling of the Traveller and the Sick Person Regarding Fasting

Sa’ad ibn Abdullah narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from al-Husayn ibn Said, from Fadalah ibn Ayyub, from Aban ibn Uthman, from Zurarah, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: Imam عليه السلام said: “The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, Allah’s سبحانه وتعالى blessings be upon him and his family, would not fast while travelling, neither in the month of Ramadan nor in other than it. And the Day of Badr was in the month of Ramadan, and the Conquest was in the month of Ramadan.”
