Chapter on One Who Becomes Muslim in Month of Ramadan, and the Ruling of One Who Reaches Puberty in It, and One Who Dies after Having Fasted Part of It or Not Having Fasted Anything from It

And from him, from Ali ibn Asbat, from Ala, from Muhammad ibn Muslim, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: (Imam عليه السلام was asked) regarding ‘a woman who became sick in the month of Ramadan, or menstruated, or travelled, then died before (month of) Ramadan ended. Is it made up on her behalf?’ Imam عليه السلام said: “As for menstruation and sickness, no; but as for travel, yes.”
