Chapter on Ruling of Treatment for the Fasting Person, Kohl, Cupping, the Tooth-Stick (Siwak), Entering the Bathhouse, and Other than That
And from him, from Abu Jafar, from Abbad ibn Sulayman, from Sa’ad ibn Sad, who said:
A man wrote to Abu al-Hasan عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “May the fasting person smell sweet basil (al-rayhan), taking pleasure in it?” So the Imam عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: “There is no harm in it.”
