Chapter on Making Up the Month of Ramadan, and the Ruling of One Who Breaks the Fast in It Intentionally and Forgetfully, and One upon Whom Fasting Two Consecutive Months Is Obligatory and He Breaks the Fast during Them, or upon Whom There Is a Vow Regarding Fasting
Al-Husayn ibn Said, from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, from Ali ibn Abi Hamzah, from Abu Basir, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam عليه السلام said: “Fasting is upon the boy when he has a wet dream (ihtilam). And fasting and the head-covering (khimar) are upon the girl are when she menstruates, unless she is owned, for there is no head-covering upon her (the bond girl) unless she wishes to cover herself with a head-covering (takhtamir), and fasting is upon her.”
