Sa’ad ibn Abdillah, from Abu Jafar, from al-Husayn ibn Said, from Fadalah ibn Ayyub, from Musa ibn Bakr, from al-Fudayl ibn Yasar, from Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: Imam عليه السلام said regarding ‘a man who made upon himself the fasting of a month, so he fasted fifteen days, then an affair occurred for him.’ Imam عليه السلام said: “It is permissible for him to make up what remains upon him. But if it was less than fifteen days, it is not permissible for him until he fasts a complete month.”
