Chapter on Making Up the Month of Ramadan, and the Ruling of One Who Breaks the Fast in It Intentionally and Forgetfully, and One upon Whom Fasting Two Consecutive Months Is Obligatory and He Breaks the Fast during Them, or upon Whom There Is a Vow Regarding Fasting
And that which Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa narrated, from Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Ghiyath ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Abdillah Imam Ja’far عليه السلام from his father, Imam al-Baqir عليه السلام, peace be upon them both:
Imam عليه السلام said: “Imam Ali عليه السلام said regarding making up the month of Ramadan, ‘If he is not able to fast it continuously, he should separate it. He should not make up the month of Ramadan during the ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah.’”
