Chapter on Categories of Fasting and the Explanation of All of Them with Clarification

And from him, from al-Hasan ibn Ali al-Hashimi, from Muhammad ibn Isa, who said: Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr narrated to me, from Zayd al-Narsi, who said: Ubayd ibn Zurarah narrated to us, saying: I (narrator) heard Zurarah asking Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about ‘fasting the day of Ashura.’ Imam عليه السلام said: “Whoever fasts it, his share from fasting that day will be the share of Ibn Marjanah and the family of Ziyad.” He (narrator) said: “I asked, ‘And what is their share from that day?’” Imam عليه السلام said: “The Fire (of Hell).”
