Chapter on Additions

Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub, from Ali ibn al-Sindi, from Hammad ibn Isa, from Muhammad ibn Yusuf, from his father, who said: I (narrator) heard Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, saying: “Indeed, al-Juhani came to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, indeed I have camels, sheep, young servants, and workers, so I would like you to command me with a night in which I may enter and witness (attend) the prayer’, and that was in the month of Ramadan. So the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, Allah’s سبحانه وتعالى blessings be upon him and his family, called him and whispered secretly into his ear. So al-Juhani, when it was the night of twenty-three (of the month of Ramadan), would enter with his camels, his sheep, and his family to his place (to attend to prayer).”
