Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 4|Book 2|Chapter 33
From him, from Ibrahim ibn Mahziyar, who said: Al-Khalil ibn Hashim wrote to Abu al-Hasan عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
(Imam عليه السلام was asked) about ‘a man who heard the footsteps (al-wat) and the call in the month of Ramadan, so he thought that the call was for the pre-dawn meal (al-suhur), and he had intercourse and went out, and behold, the morning had become bright.’ So the Imam عليه السلام, peace be upon him, wrote in his handwriting: “He makes up (qada) that day, if Allah سبحانه وتعالى wills.”
