Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn, from Uthman ibn Isa, from Samaah, who said:
I (narrator) asked Imam عليه السلام about ‘vomiting in (month of) Ramadan.’ Imam عليه السلام said: “If it is something that overtakes him unexpectedly, then there is no harm, but if it is something that he forces himself to do, he has broken the fast, and upon him is the making up.” He (narrator) said: “And I asked Imam عليه السلام about ‘a man who played with water, rinsing his mouth with it because of thirst, and it entered his throat.’” Imam عليه السلام said: “Upon him is its making up, but if it was during wudu, then there is no harm.”
