Chapter on Sign of the Time of the Obligation of Fasting, the Days of the Month, and the Proof of the Time of Breaking the Fast
And from him, from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Hammad, from al-Halabi, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
Imam عليه السلام was asked about ‘breaking the fast before the prayer or after it.’ Imam عليه السلام said: “If there are people with him and he fears that he would keep them back from their dinner, then let him break the fast with them. But if it is other than that, then let him pray and break the fast.”
