Refutation of ʿAbd Allāh b. Jaʿfar’s Claim to the Imamate
And from him, from Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusayn, from Wuhayb b. Ḥafṣ, from Abī Baṣīr, who said: “I was with Abī ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام, sitting at Minā, whereupon I asked him about an issue while ʿAbd Allāh was sitting with him. So, Abū ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام said: “O’ Abā Baṣīr, not now.” When ʿAbd Allāh stood up (and left), Abū ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام said: “You would ask me a question while ʿAbd Allāh is sitting?,” to which I replied: “And what is the matter with ʿAbd Allāh?” He said: “He is a little Murjiʾi.”[1]
