Refutation of ʿAbd Allāh b. Jaʿfar’s Claim to the Imamate

And from him, from Muḥammad b. Aḥmad, from ʿAlī b. Ismāʿīl, from Ṣafwān, from ʿAbd Allāh b. Muskān, from Sulaymān b. Khālid, who narrated: “We were with Abī ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام, when he said: “Desist from your asking.” He ordered us to be quiet until ʿAbd Allāh stood up and left, whereupon Abū ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام told us: “He is not upon a thing of that upon which you are. Verily, I have disavowed him, and Allāh has disavowed him!”
